The first thing that you need to do is to find a name for your web business. You will need a name that is not already taken, such as: mybusiness.co.za. When a person wants to visit your site, they will type http://www.mybusiness.co.za and will arrive at your website. This name has to be registered. The cost to you will be R79 per year. Each year you will be reminded to renew the registration of this name.

Go to the following link: domain registrations or click Domains on the menubar above . At the top of the page type in the name that you wish to check for availability and click the search button. The resulting page will tell you whether the name is available. If the name is available use it on our registration form by going back to the registration page and entering your registration details. Host Direct will send you a confirmation e-mail to verify.

Once you have chosen a name for your personal or business web page, you will need space for the content of your web site. Typically you will need the following: Home Page - Products / Services Page - A Page about your company - A page with your contact information - A Page with a form to collect clients requests. This takes up some space. Packages are available from R9.99 upward. Link to the personal packages - Link to the business packages. Personal packages may also serve as business packages. We will not coerce you to take a bigger package than you actually require.
